Reviews
got brunch, and it was super yummy and worth the price. the restaurant itself was also very pretty. i’d come here again but for dinner!
This place is an absolute diamond! You can tell that, so much love and thought went into creating it, The food is delicious, creative and well balanced. The cocktails, beer and wine are perfectly paired. The atmosphere is perfectly gentle, gritty, authentic and local. And, like every great restaurant the people are wonderful caring, helpful and magical. Go early go often!
Decent food and great vibes + service. If you’re around the area, worth to give it a try or meet up with friends here.
Went on a weekly date here and when they forgot one of our apps they comped it for us which was very nice and totally not necessary because it came out immediately afterward they realized.
App: Lamb Croquettes and Beet Salad
Main: Rigatoni and Seafood Pasta (forgetting the exact name but basically something similar to a seafood scampi)
Drinks: forget the names but both were yummy. One fruity cocktail another smoother.
Good food and good vibes. They customise non vegetarian dishes to make them vegetarian. We ordered tiramisu and it had cinnamon in it, which we didn’t like as much. Book in advance for big groups of people.
Came here with a last minute reservation on a weekday. It seemed like a lot of people were coming here after work for their daily dollar oysters from 5 to 7, but we were still able to snag one of their private booth seatings.
The dollar oysters were very small but still good enough to satisfy our cravings. We then tried the saffron arancini and the smoked beet salad. The salad was plain, but the saffron arancini came with a palatable sauce that left us wanting for more.
Standout dishes from the entrées were the lumache and the seared salmon. Spicy breadcrumbs and clams added nice textures to the lumache, and I liked that the garlic white wine sauce had a good amount of acidity which usually works well with seafood pastas. Forking a piece of salmon with a concoction of celeriac purée, shaved celery, Umbrian lentils, and pomegranate was also a transformative experience. The sweetness from the pomegranate perfectly complemented the slightly bitter and acidic taste from the shaved celery, and each bite was a sheer bliss. My only complaint was that the pistachio pesto pizza was overcooked, and it was quite difficult to bite through the bread. Otherwise, everything from the service to the food were flawless, and I would definitely come back for a casual weekday dinner with my friends or colleagues.
Came here with a group for my birthday. I have never been here before and honestly it was a Hail Mary guess based off of the fact that they have wild boar bolognese- the traditional way they make bolognese in Tuscany. Figured if they came correct on that, they probably know what they are doing. OH. MY. GOD. I’m not joking when I say this was one of the best meals of my ENTIRE life! It’s the kind of food that when you take a bite, your soul leaves your body for a minute and you have to sit back and immerse in the sustained bliss of pure sensorial pleasure before returning to earth for another one . Our group ordered: the wild boar gnocchi, salmon crudo, saffron aroncini, local beef carpaccio, and lamb croquettes, shaved brussel sprouts, giononne chicken, amongst others. Every bite from every dish was perfection. This place is a hidden gem. Do yourself a favor and try Viale.
Viale offers a decent Italian dining experience. However, during my visit, the service fell short, and the food was just average. For a more enjoyable ambiance and tastier fare at a comparable price point, I'd suggest checking out Gufo instead.
Ndjua Pizza was delicious, as the spiced honey add so much depth to the flavor and goes perfectly with the carmelized onions. The Carbonara was really flavorful and came in the perfect portion size. They also came around after our food came with garlic bread and olive oil, but the garlic bread was a bit hard and dry. We sat in the outdoor seats which was pretty nice. Service was attentive.
